I have always loved the Coventry Carol and have had it in my ‘to do’ list for a long time to try my hand at my own arrangment. This year I found the time and inspiration and the resulting arrangement is a setting for Soprano and Alto quartet. I’m very honoured to have the international award winning choir New Dublin Voices with their conductor Bernie Sherlock give the premiere of the piece at their Carol’s for Christmas concert in Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin on Wednesday 14th December.
