New Kevin Volans Recording/Crash Ensemble Performance

Crash Ensemble have released Kevin Volans ‘Trumpet, Vibe, Cello, Piano’ as a ‘pay what you want’ release via bandcamp.

I was privileged to work as producer for the recording session and on the subsequent mix of the recording.

The recording features Crash Ensemble musicians Andy Crowley on Trumpet, Roger Moffat on Vibe, Kate Ellis on Cello,John Godfrey on piano and the ever wonder Alan Pierson conducting.

In more Crash Ensemble related news the group will perform my piece ‘where distant city lights flicker on half-frozen ponds’ for solo violin and electronic resonators at Free State VII in the John Field room, Thursday 5th April @ 7.30pm.
