Gabriel’s Message is the opening movement of Kirkos Ensembles ‘Beata Maria’, a retelling of the Nativity story told from the perspective of Mary and through the music of ten composers associated with the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

The text (curated by Irish composer Kevin O’Connell) entwines some of Mary’s most poetic biblical moments with beautiful poetry by Rilke, Browning and Herbert.
